Opera in the Park Celebrates 50 Years of Music and Magic

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, San Francisco Opera invites locals and visitors alike to the 50th anniversary of Opera in the Park, a free outdoor concert that transforms Robin Williams Meadow into a sea of blankets, picnic baskets, and operatic wonder. It’s one of the city's most beloved cultural events — and just a quick trip from SoMa House.

An Iconic Afternoon in Golden Gate Park

From 1:30 to 3:30 PM, enjoy arias, duets, and ensemble performances by some of the brightest stars of San Francisco Opera’s 2025–2026 season. Whether you're a seasoned opera-goer or new to the genre, this is your chance to soak up world-class performances in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

With last year's audience topping 30,000 and this year marking the big 5-0, expect an even bigger celebration. Bring your friends, your kids, your sunscreen, and settle in for a classic San Francisco day in the park.
